Ball Shades

Decorative opal and hand painted glass ball shades were favored in the Victorian era.

• Ball shades are customarily used on tall banquet lamps and piano lamps.
• Smaller ruffled top ball shades are used on shorter banquet lamps and antique lamps which have a 4″shade holder.

Bottom Fitter: Ball shades have an open, straight-sided bottom to fit a 4″ fitter shade holder . This bottom shade diameter must match the shade holder.

Height should also be considered so that the shade is proportional to the lamp.
