Cast iron shelf brackets are both decorative and functional. For special room accents, construct wooden shelves along tops of walls or along the entire room placing shelves 10" - 14" below the ceiling. Cast iron shelf brackets can be used with the long or short arm supporting the shelf, depending on the width of the shelf. Victorian cast iron shelf brackets are cast iron with a black finish.
