Bridge lamps are the all time favorite reading lamp. These useful lamps are easily placed on or next to a comfortable reading chair or work table. A socket swivel enables positioning of lamp shade to direct light downward onto the book or surface you are working on. Light is turned on or off at the socket.
Various choices in shades are available. Linen, silk, and parchment styles screw directly onto a uno threaded socket. Glass styles require a special glass holder which fits onto socket.
Shade style is often selected according to the style and period of the home. Retro fitting these

2 Shade Types for Bridge Lamps Shades made on a wire frame with a uno ring in the center of the shade. This threaded ring screws directly onto uno threaded socket. There is no need for an additional holder. Glass Uno Shades: require a special holder, see below, which screws directly onto a socket with uno threads or clamps onto a standard socket, see below. Holder has 3 thumb screws to secure shade.

Lamp socket with UNO threads enables a uno shade to screw directly onto socket.
Decorative Husk is placed overtop of socket. This provides a more decorative
and finished appearance.
Socket Swivel attaches socket to lamp. This swivel provides a movable joint
enabling the shade to be angled to correct position for reading.
Bridge Lamp Shades
