Gold Cloth Covered Lamp Cord is an an excellent choice for vintage lamp restoration and mid century lighting as was used on many portable lamps during the early part of the 20th century. This cord should only be used in low temperature and low wattage applications; Fine quality and authentic style make it is not intended for appliances. Protective plastic insulation covers each individual wire; the two wires are then covered with vintage-looking rayon cloth fabric. This rayon covered twin lamp wire is manufactured with stringent safety measures however it is not U.L. listed.

A UL knot is ideal however due to the rayon covering a simple overhand knot, tied at both socket and plug ends, protects cord from being pulled loose and stops fabric from fraying.
