Gold Fabric Covered Lamp Wire with Plug is ideal for vintage lamp restoration. Pre 1930's style adds authenticity to antique lighting. Fabric covered lamp wire is well made. All stranded lamp wire is covered with plastic insulation. Fine, tight braided rayon fabric covers plastic insulation. Early style Bakelite plug, with embossed acorn design, is attached. Fabric covering is vintage gold, plug is brown.
Fabric covered lamp wire is for lamps and low temperature, low wattage applications. It is not-intended for appliances. Fabric covered lamp wire is manufactured with strict safety procedures however is not U.L. listed.

Install Fabric Covered Lamp Wire
- A UL knot is ideal however due to the rayon covering a simple overhand knot, tied at both socket and plug ends, protects cord from being pulled loose and stops fabric from fraying.
- Black wire connects to brass screw, white wire to nickel screw
Before making any changes to electrical fixtures and/or lamps:
- Disconnect plug/wire from the electrical source.
- Turning lamp off will not protect you from electric shock.
- If you are unsure how to safely proceed contact a licensed electrician.

Barry Lesher I ordered this wire to rewire a theater organ music rack lamp that I restored from the late 1920's. In trying to keep everything "period correct", this wire with the Bakelite plug fit the bill perfectly and I couldn't be more happy!

Kevin Jarvis Very authentic looking! Polarized plug does not detract, and assures proper wiring to avoid potential shock hazards. Easy to determine hot/neutral wires at end of cord. Couldn't have used anything else in keeping with an authentic look for my period floor lamp and adhereing to today's safety standards. I've come to depend on.
