White milk glass glows when lit making it a comfortable choice where good light is required. USA made.

Bottom diameter is slightly less than 10", which is normal.

Authentic copies are offered in white opal glass, dark green cased glass and hand painted floral designs. Glass Student Lamp Shades were made in: 6", 7", 10", 12" and 14" bottom fitter sizes.
7" Student Shades typically fit: 8" - 9" lamp bases
10" Student Shades typically fit: 9" - 10-1/2" lamp bases
Glass student shades are blown in a mold. This causes slight differences in thickness of glass and actual bottom diameters. If needing a pair please order together to assure match.
The bottom diameter, referred to as the fitter. It is typically slightly under-size, this is normal due to glass blowing techniques.
Determining Shade Holders: tripods, spiders and ring holders are used to support student shades.
Lamp burner or socket will determine appropriate center ring size of holder, shade will determine shade holder size.
